Making Mung Bean Sprouts
Soak mung bean in sufficient water for 6 to 8 hours or overnight. Drain the soaked beans and place in a sprout maker for another 12 hours or so for it to begin to sprout. If you do not have a sprout maker, simply place the soaked and drained mung beans in a muslin cloth, bring the ends of the cloth together and form a knot or tie with a string. Place this tied beans in a colander or sieve and let it stay for 12 hours or so to begin sprouting. If you want longer sprouts then let the beans stay for more than 12 hours whether in the sprout maker or muslin cloth.
